TWO LADIES SERIOUSLY INJURED.
Pabis, Pecember 10. The bomb was tbrown into the Chamber of Deputies at 4 o'clock in tbe afternoon, and passing over tbe " right " benches burst over the . head of Abbe Teinaire, who fell covered with blood. A scene of great confusion followed, and many strangers rushed from the galleries on to the floor of the Chamber The members of the Chamber who were wounded were removed for medical assistance, and after a few minutes' ex* oitement, Premier Dnpuy rose and calmly said: "Such outrages must not be allowed to disturb this Chamber, and I request members to continue the work quickly." He was loudly cheered and a disoußsion which had been interrupted by the explosion was then resumed. One of the occupants of the gallery says he saw a man throw a bomb which exploded almost directly it left his hand. It is believed the missile was a sardine tin filled with nitroglycerine, gunpowder, and cobblers' nails. Several ladies were injured, two seriously. About 200 visitors were m the Chamber, and all of them were detained until they had proved their identity. In many cases the authorities were nut satisfied and detectives escorted these persous to their homes to verify their statements. Seven suspects have b£en detained in the Committee room, which is strongly guarded, and three have been taken to the Prefecture of Police. The outrage has caused intense excitement and indignation throughout the city, ann all night enormous crowds thronged the Palais Bourbon, which was guarded by a cordon of police. Billot was among those woundod. No well known members of the Cham* ber of Deputies are among those injured.
