♦- (FEB Pit ESS ASSOCIATION J Sydney, December 6. A curious case is reported fromDubbo. The secretary and manager of the re-' frigerating works were charged with slaughtering sheep without a license. The Bench had no option but to impose the full penalty of £10 for every sheep killed, and cousequentlv fined each of the defendants £16.870 llndee the Act the fino must be puid within three days, failing which the defendants will have to go to gaol.
