The funeral of the late Mr Howard H. Dodson took place to-day, and was the largest ever seen in Marlborougb, the cortege being over a mile in length. The death of one who was so universally liked and respected has cast a gloom over the whole community. Auckland, Deoember6. Tbe Board of Education have reoeived 283 entires for junior and senior scholars ships. The board has on the list at present the names of 100 persons who hare passed examinations for whom they haye no employment |
