At the Wesleyan district meeting*, a resolution was carried as a recoruinendation to the Conference that the Conference lecture be discontinued, or that discussion upon it be allowed in open conference. Auckland. Decombprs. At the Wesleynu district meeting, a resolution was carried that it is premature to discuss the question of a Methodist Union. The new Mayor of Onehunga, Mrs Yates, has trying times a head. It is stated that four Councillors, the Town Clerk, and the Fire Brigade intend to resign, Chbistchubch, Dec. 5. A new Masonic Lodge under the New Zealand Constitution was consecrated tonight by Mr Hulbert, Grand Superintendent of Canterbury, and officers of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand. The lodge is titled " The Cbristchurch Lodge No. 91," and is formed from among the Scotch j Masons of Christchurch. Danevibke, December 5. A man named Vincent Easmussen was robbed of £165 here yesterday. He cashed a cheque at the bank and commenced drinking, but soon discovered that someone had eased him of all his money. The police have the matter in hand,
