Public Works Votes
In Cabinet yesterday afternoon Minis* ters made appropriations to the amount of about JE20.000 for public works in various parts of the Colony. The largest item was £10,000 for . the Eketahuna« Woodville railway extension, wnile £2000 was appropriated for roads in the Hunterville district, £1500 for the road round the rocks, Wellington Harbour, to the torpedo station at Shelly Bay, and £1100 for the furnishing of Porirua Asylum.
