Prosecuting Bank Officials
ACCOUNTS ALLEGED TO BE " COOKED." (PEE PBEBB ASSOCIATION.) Sydney, This Day. It is reported that writs will be issued agaiust the officers of one of the banking companies here, nlfo against the bank, It is alleged that the return of the transactions of the institution were inaccurate. It is understood the objection is technical, as the bank has prepared the re» turn on similar lines thirty years ago. Heavy amounts are claimed. Sir G. W. Dibbs investigated the bank's accounts, and declares they are perfectly accurate. The action is being taken at the instance of pnrate individuals.
