[Per Press Association] Auckland, November 25. A man, name unKuown, fell off the up Waikato train near Pukekohe when rounding a corner. He was brought to the Auckland Hospital suffering from concussion of the brain. It is supposed he is from Coromandel. Ernest Lewis, for evadiug the Customs duties, was fined L 24 and jewellery worth. L4O forfeited ; in default of payment of fine, one month's imprisonment. This Day. James McLean, aged 18, was accidentally killed at Coulthard's sawmill. He was working a deal frame when he was caught in one of the belts. Woodville, This Day. The Woodville Farmers' Club has decided to invite a conference of representatives of the different Farmers' Clubs in the Colony to consider matters affect* ing agricultural interests. Wellington, Noyember 25. Last week it was reported to the police that an infant child of a woman named Knuckley, living in Courtney Place, was dying, apparently of starvation. A doctor visited it, and said it had been neglected and could not lire long. The child was tnken from its mother, but died yesterday, and the doctor, refusing to certify as to the cause- of death, an inquest will beheld. __^___^___
