There was a splendid display of draught stock, in which Wallace took the championship. The display of blood stock was ridiculous ; carriage horses were fair ; competition in hackneys was limited, and the cavalry horses were good. In the hunters and jumping competitions there was keen competition, Robin Hood taking the prize for the high jump.
