To Stand the season in Feilding, the Coaching Stallion YOUNG TORPEDO, YOUNG TORPEDO, aged 3 years, is the true type of a Coaching Stallion, and is, in fact, the best specimen to be seen on the West Coast. He is a very dark brown, with beautiful flat bone, and well coupled together, showing great streneth of muscle. Young Torpedo is by Torpedo out of , the trottine mare Kate. Torpedo is by Musket (imp)— Fanny Fisher, a bay mare bred by Mr H. Fisher, in Victoria in 1805, got by Fisherman (imp), her dam by Coquette (imp), by Launcelot —Abaft by Sheet Anchor. Kate is by Mangle— Bess, by The Painter, out of a Blood Royal mare. KING DON is a beautiful black horse, standing 16 hands 1 inch high, and is very compact and strongly built in proportion, having a splendid head and neck, with good sloping shoulders and deep girth, good loins and short hack, splendid deep quarters, with short, sound legs and good feet, and measures very large below the knee, and his temper is all that could bo desircv. ; ho has stood three seasons in the New Plymouth district, and has proved himself a very sure foal* getter, and his stock is greatly admired for weigkt-carrving hacks or good harness horses. KING DON was bred by John Hes lop, Esq, in 1887 by Don Juan, dam Rose, by Day and Martin ; Don Juan bred by E Davidson, E>q, in 1870, tot by Diomedes (imp), dam Sweep, bred by Mr Elliot in 1885, got by Sir Hercules, her dam Besom, by Whisker (imp), out of Cornelia, by Grasshopper. KING DON has never been exhibited, his dam, Rose, was only shown once, when she gained first honors in the carriage class at the Wanganui show. CORONET is a beautiful dark chestnut, stands 15 hands 3 inches high, on short legs, nnd measures very large, and has splendid bone, and is one of tbe best-tempered animals in the world. He ran for one season on the West Coast of tbe South Island, and won three events there. Terms : Three guineas per mare, payable at first service by promissory note due January 4th, 1894.
