Tho Colony Guarantees also, on tho capital funds arising for investment out of the properties placed iv tho Public Trust Office, % common rate of interest, to bo paid quarterly. Free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. Tho valuo of this puaranteo is in tho Guarantee of the Colony against loss from investments in bad or Insufficient securities, and against loss from delay in investment, and for tho regular and punctual paymont of the interest, free of all oharges of the l'ublic Trust Office. In tho appointment of Trustees there must always bo serious concern as to the security of the capital funds; and the larger the capital fuudu tho groatcr must be the concern for security, and tho loss for a high rate of interest. Tho Public Trustee cannot die, cannot leave the colony, cannot bocome disqualified, or involved iv private difficulties; and cannot be distrusted. In private trustoeships, doath and absonce render nocessary numerous and oxponsiye deeds not required by Public Trusteo's administration, which has, besides, tho offloo solicitor's advico without cxpenso to the estates.
