The Matabele War
[Per Press Association! , London, November 22. Replying to a question asked by Mr Labouchere in the House of Commons, Mr Sydney Burton, Under- Secretary for the Colonies, said the Government would not permit Imperial troops to share in looting the lands and mines of Matabele, but a compete surrender would be in* sisted upon. Capetown, November 21. Jamieson's forces pursued KingLobengula, and it is reported that the latter defeated them with serious loss.
