|PerPbess Association. Auckland, November 20. Mrs Bowe, wife of Thomas Bowe, Newton road, attempted suicide by swallowing match heads. She has given no reason, for her conduct and was sent to the Hospital. Owing to the losses of the Agricultural Association through the Show being spoilt by bad weather, the large prize winners hare forgone the money prizes expected. Other prize winners will fellow. For the Mayoralty of Onehunga Mrs Elizabeth Yates and Mr John Court have been nominated. It is rumoured that Mr Court will retire. Dunedin, November 20. A two year old son of William Jackson, Mount Stuart, was drowned by falling into a barrel of water.
