Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co report as follows :— We had a brisk sale of stock at Waverley. At St Hill street the bidding was somewhat dull, but we sold the bulk at or after the auction Prices are without profitable change. We quote — Cattle— At Wav.erley— Steers from L 2 11s to L3Bs ; cows, L4to L 4 10s ; heifers, L 3 12s 6d to Li ; yearlings L2. At St Hill street— Fat light cows, L 4 15s ; store cows, L 3 17s 6d to L4 2s 6d ; steers L32sto L 4; forward ' steers, L 4 17s 6d to L 5 6s ; yearlings, L 2 11s 6d. Sheep— At Waverley— Ewes and lambs, 12s to 13s ; hoggets, 10s to 13s 3d. At Wanganui — Fat shorn wethers, 9s 6d to 10s 6d ; old ewes and lambs, 7s 7d. Figs— Small baconers, 33s 6d to 44s ; porkers, 21s to 29s 6d, small pigs, 9s to 13s. Poultry— Fowls, 3s to 4s ; ducks, 4s 6d the couple.
