« Messrs Gorton & Son report as follows : — We had only a few entries for our sale at Hunterville last week, some of the sheep not being able to be brought to the sale on account of the flooded state of the rivers. At Bulls to-day we had good entries of cattle and our complement of sheep, The bidding opened rather dull, but got brisker as the sale went on. We sold all the cattle at Hunterville at satisfactory prices and all the cattle at Bulls excepting one pen and all the sheep excepting one pen. We quote— Hunterville — Cattle— B-year heifers, in milk, L 5 ; yearling and 18-mo steers, L 2 lis; year and 18-mo heifers, L 2 17s 6d. Bulls— Fat bullocks, L 6 15s to L 7-, fat and forward cows, L 4 10s; cows with calves, L 3 19s ; empty cows. L 3 5s to L 3 7s 6d; 3 -year steers, L_ ss; mixed yearlings, 30s to L 2 3s ; year and 18-mo .leers'; Lii'lQs. Sheep — Fat shorn sheop, _s Id ; shorn 2-tooth wethers, 8s ; shora _ tooth wethers, 9s ld ; woolly hoggets, 10_ 7d ; 4»tooth woolly ewes, lis 9d ; ewes with lambs, lis.
