Messrs Abraham & Williams report —On Friday we offered a number of ex" hibita od aocount of various owners com* peting at the Show. The business* however, was very limited. We placed a stud Lincoln ram at 45 guineas on account of Mrs Halcombe, Jersey cows at 13£ and 22 guineas respectirely. On account of Mr Luxford, 2 year Ayrshire bulls, 8 guineas. For Mr B. Smith, Pahiatua, we disposed of three yearling Shorthorn bulls, at B£, 13 and 13£ guineas respectively. A yearling draught colt of Mrs Hessey's, Masterton, made 24 guineas. For horses the demand was lifeless and no business was effected. After the above, the ordinary market was proceeded with. A heavy entry of cattle came forward, sheep in fewer numbers. The bulk of the cattle sold at recent rates. In sheep, the business was very limited. On Saturday our usual horse sale was held. There was a numerous entry and a fair proportion disposed of to somewhat irregular bidding. Cattle— Two to 2£-year steers, Li 5s to 1A 16s ; forward cows, L 4 Is ; cows and calves, 1A 8s; 18 months steers L 3 ss ; 2-year heifers, L 3 5s to L 3 10s ; jearling heifers, L 2 13s 6d ; fat bullocks, LI 12s ; 3-year-steers, IA l&s. Sheep— Aged ewes and lambs, 10s 3d to 12s 3d ; shorn fat ewes, 8s 6d. Horses.— Draught filly, Ll6 10s ; hacks, L 7 to Lls ; old crocks, L2to L 4; unbroken colts and fillies; good sorts, L 7to L 10; indifferent quality, 20s to 40s.
