Concessions in Railway Freights
I PEE VBBSS ASSOCIATION.? Wellington, November 7, Ad important concession in railway freights has been made by the Commissioners. Under class Aj a number of articles, such as casks, jars, milk cans, etc., are if empty, and not to be returned, charged a rate and a half. A local tinsmith, having obtained a contract for the supply of a number of milk cans for the Palmerston North factory, found the Tariff against theextension of his business, and in reply to a letter on the subject the Commissioners hare issued instructions that milk cans sent by a maker are to be charged as ordinary merchandise and at single rates.
