« . Messrs Abraham and Williams report os follows .—At our sale atPahiatua last Wednesday, an average entry of cattle and sheep cams forward. We had again to face a dull market at starting, which, however, gradually woro off as the salo proceeded, and we had the satisfaction of clearing the whole of the sheep and all the cattle, with one exception of one or two animals of exceptional merit, for which the demand in this district is limited. We quote ewes and lambs in the wool, 9s Od to 10s 3d ; wethers in the wool, 11s 3d; hoggets do, 10s 8d ; shorn mixed hoggets, Bs. Dairy cows, £6 10s; springing heifers, £4, 10 ato£s9s 6d ; 2-jear steers, £4 2s 6d to £4 4s ; mixed yearlings, £2 12s 6d to £2 14s 6d ; calves, 30s.
