The following are the horses still in the Derby, subject to scratchings before 11 o'clock to-morrow morning: —Garcon, Sailor Prince, Dunfish, Cashier, Squeers, Lucid, Patron, Eureka, Carnage, Havoc, Pilatus, Argent, Captain Swift, Saint Cecilia, Muckiebar, Light Artillery, Maru, Aquarius, Pounanm, Salient, Guardian, Pnlvil, Projectile, Trenchant, Solanum. At Caulfield this morning Pounauiu and Bessie McCarthy finished in front of Sternchaser in a mile and n half gallop, run in 2min 49sec. The first-named pleased the touts immensely. Aquarius beat Mnlvolio over the same journey, bnt took half a 6econd longer than Mr Gollan's trio At Mentone, Salient covered nine furlongs in 2min 2sec. The feature of to-day's wagering was the ostensible support accorded Sainfoin | for the Cup, about £18,000 being presumably taken down to 100 to 7=S, which price, curiously enough, was on offer at the close. After breakfast at Flemington this morning, Launcestcn beat Loyalty in a mile and a half journey, travelled in 2m in 448ec.
