* (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napiek, October 10. News reached town this morning that six persons were poisoned at Beethams, Tc Apiti station. Tho cause is supposed to be arsenic coming by some means in contact with the food. The sufferers are said to be seriously ill, and mei!iml assistance has been telegraphed for. Te Apiti is about fifty-tive miles from Napier. No further particulars are yet to hand. Thi« Day. There were four persons taken ill at Te Apiti, but nil recovered, except the boy, who is still had, but hopes are entertained of li in recovery.
