At the Education Board meelmg, the returns for the qtiarler, ended September, showed a loss of 608 children in the average attendance as against the attendance for the June quarter, and it was stated that the decision of the Government to pay on the norking average of this quarter instead of the previous quarter, when there was no epidemic, nennt a loss of L570 in one quarter to the Board. It was decided the Minister should be asked to make good the loss bj paying on the working average.
