The committee of the Feilding Jockey club meet at the Manchester Hotel tomorrow evening at 8 p m. The Directors of the Feilding Building Society were holding a meeting as wo went to press this afternoon. The special meeting of tho Feilding Borough Council to confirm the published bye-laws, will be hold to-morrow evening. A committee meeting of the Feilding Cricket Club will be held in Mr Basting's Manchester Hotel this evening at 8 p.m. A meeting of Mr Lethbridge's election committee will be held this evening is Mossrs James and Heaps office ut 8 o'clock. To-morrow evening the annual general meeting of the Feilding Athletic Sports will be held in the Assembly Rooms at eight o'clock. The first cricket match of the season will be played on the local ground betweon Carnarvon and Feilding teams on Saturday afternoon next. Mr C. Wickham gives notice to-day that he is prepared to cart small quantitios of wcol (about 4 or 5 bales) from any part of the district. The shooting was excellent, and Mr C II Chavannes, who had tvo nominations, succeeded in obtaining both first and .second prizes, killing nil his nine birds nt ench try. He therefore takes the Cup, valued at L 25, and 25 sovereigns, for first honors, as well as L 7 for second j.rize.
