Campbelltown Notes
. — « [PBOM OT7B OWN COBBESPONDKNT.] Mr Corpe's factory is progressing favorably, and another addition is about to be erected as a cooling chamber in the summer months. There will be a large water tank in which the cream cans may be stood so that an even temperature can always be maintained. About six thousand gallons were separated last week, and before the end of next month that quantity will probably be doubled. Messrs Mudford have at last struck water at 130 feet. The flow is so far satisfactory and will be a great boon to the factory. The Sandon and Carnarvon cricket teams played a match here on Saturday last,' on the grounds of Mr J. Knight. A great many spectators were present, including a fair sprinkling of the fair sex, who, after the match was over, provided the players with refreshments. The match resulted in a win for Carnarvon, by five wickets. Bishop, Askew, and Hathaway, were the top scorers for Carnarvon ; and Hart, Walker, and Mclntyre, for Sandon. The Rev. S. Ba'rnelt preached a very impressive sermon on Sunday morning last. There was a large congregation. Nine of the young men of the Primitive Methodist Church visited Foxton on Sunday, to hold meetings in the Salvation Army Barracks. A good time was spent and much good resulted. On Friday evening next an entertainment and coffee supper is to be held in the Primitive Methodist Church. A good programme has been drawn up, and it is tobe hoped that it will be a great success. Mr W. Arnold is to be superviser for the programme. His skill and integrity are well known, so that the audience may rely upon having it arranged in proper style.:
