Messrs Gorton and Son stock report — We held two sales at Campbelltown this week, the first at the residence of Mr C Hopping, when we offered 51 dairy cows and several head of young stock. We sold 38 cows, the good cows selling from JCI to .£lO each, the cows not so forward in calf from £1 18s to £7 ; springing heifers from M 5s to £8 3s ; 18-month heifers, £2 13s 6d ; 2-year heifers, £4 ss. The draught horses sold from £23 to £25. At the ordinary stock sale on Friday the yards were well filJed with cattle and few pens of 6heep. The bidding was dull and the sale dragged. We sold a few under the hammer, but far more after the sale Our quotations are : — Fat cows, £5 58 6d ; forward cows, £4 10s ; heifers in calf, £3 3s 6d to £4 10; weaners, 30s to 35s ; yearlings, £2.
