This DayLieut Honey, who won the Rifle Championship, hailß from Kiama, not Victoria. Private Mitchell, of Queeneland, was second with 323 ; Seaman Nelson, of South Wales, third with 320. The following are the New Zealand prizetakers in the Champion aggregates : W. Ballinger, 809; McFarlane, 307; Webster, 301 ; Brown, 299 ; Wilkie, 298 ; Howe, 296 ; Kirk, 291 ; Tobin, 290. The Champion Teams Match was won by the Petone Rifle Club (Wellington), with a score of 1460 ; St Leonards second, with 1442 ; Ballarat third, with 1428. A protest has been lodged against the Fetone team chiefly on the ground that while it embraces members of the Defenca Force it purported to be a Private Club. The Committee of the Association have called upon the Club to show cause why they should not be disqualified. The Petone Club won this match last year, and no objection was then made to the status of the Club. If the Club is not disqualified it will secure the Challenge Cup, having won it twice. The Auckland Club was 13th, with 1366.
