♦ Mr Pirani will address the electors in the Theatre Royal, Palmerston, this evening. His Worship the Mayor will take the chair at 8 o'clock. j The Hon. R. J. Seddon, Premier, will address a pnblic meeting at Marton tonight on the leading political questions of the day. (Per Press Association.) Woodville, This Day. Mr Charles Hall has now been definitely announced as the Government candidate for the Waipawa seat Mr W. Carlisle has decided to retire from contesting the Waipawa seat. WANGANtri, This Day. Major Sommerville has been asked to contest the Wanganui seat, and promised a large support. He has not yet decided Wellington, This Day. Mr Travers. one of the city candidates, addressed a large audience last mgbt. He received a vote of thanks. Dvn edi n, October 19. Mr Fish addressed his constituents this evening. The hall was crowded. About 150 women were present. Mr Fish was frequently interrupted by a number of yonng men at the back of the hall. A vote of thanks and confidence was car* ried.
