Extensive Fire at Auckland

(PBB PBEPS ASSOCIATION.} Auckland, This Day. Messrs George Fraver and Sons, Phoet nix Foundry, in Stanley street, was burned down at midnight. A strong wind fanned the flames and caused immense conflagration. Nine heads of hose, with a splendid pressure of water, kept the fire in odd block The northern block remaius intact. The portion destroyed contained a thousand pounds worth of machinery, and patterns and tracings af an extensire business, accumulated during the past 30 years. The engineering plant destroyed was one of the most complete in the Colony. The Hew Zealand Insurance had a general policy of L 7.500 on the plant and building, which was largely re insured. The damage is estimated at LIO.OOO. The orifiu of the fire is uukauwu.
