Jeweller, Quality, Division, and Fulham. Betting — 0 to 4 Brockleigb, 5 to 1 Fortuoatus, 8 to 1 Vakeel, '20 to 1 others. Entering the straight Brockleigh made a tremendous run and at the half distance he was on level terms with Port Admiral, and, forging ahead, won by a length. Time, lmia 59^ sec. Hurdles — Whitefoot, 1 ; Leonardo, 2 ; Neli, 3. Caulfield Guineas— Patron, 1 ; Sailor Prince, 2 ; Pounamu, ft. Approaching the straight Patron came very fast and looked an easy winner. Sailor Prince then came at hiai, but failed to quite get up, and a terrific finish ended in his defeat by a neck. Time, lmin 46{sec. Steeplechase — Mikado 11, 1 ; Knight of the Garter, 2 ; Toprail, 3. Won easily. Debutante Stakes— Moorite, 1 ; Lady's Maid, 2; Eridsporde. Sixteen started. Time, 52^8*0. Toorak Handicap — Titan, 1 ; Bel Giorno, 2 ; Beverley, 3. Eighteen started. Betting—2 to 1 against Garcon, 7 to 1 Bel Giorno. 10 to 1 Titan. The latter, finish, ing in the gamest manner, cut down the rest of his field, and ran home a winner by two lengths, amidst tumults of applause at the success of Mr Donald Wallace's colours. Time, lmin 45sec.
