MELBOUBNE WOOL SALES. BAD WEATHER APPROACHING. (PEB PBES9 ASSOCIATION). Brisbane, This Day. The weather is very hot. The thermometer recorded lOldeg in the shade yesterday, the highest temperature reached since 1887. Melbourne, October 18. The wool sales opened to-day. Thore was a good attendance, and competition was brisk, at last season's rates. Sydney, This Day. A heavy gale was experienced here yesterday. The storm commenced at Albany and passed Tasmania yesterday, having travelled two thousand miles in forty eight hours. A warning has been sent to New Zealand, where the storm may be expected to break some time tonight. ___^______
