If we may judge froai the following extract from the Paraekaretu Express, Mr John (Stevens will not be only candidate for the Rangitikei seat in the Liberal interest. Our contemporary is not at all satined with the conduct of the Ministry in their choice of a candidate to support, and says : " Mr Ivess is determined, even at the risk of his party losing the Rangitikei seat, to have fair play dealt out to him during the struggle, and if he receives that which is due to every aspirant for parliamentary honours —a fair fiold and no favour —ho may have no misgivings as to the final remilt."
