A committee meeting of the Manawatu Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held at Palmerston last Saturday. Present Messrs (*. Wheeler (in the chair), Snow, J. (x. Wilson, J. D. Batchelar, L. Dalrymple. | A letter was received from the New Zealand Railway Department, stating that the letter of the secretary requesting that the train arrangements should be the same as last year will be duly considered. From W. and G. Turnbull and Co., on behalf of the Sunlight Soap Company, asking the Association's acceptance of a silver cup. — It was decided to accept the cup with thanks, and that it be awarded for the most points secured at the Show. It was resolved that sheep would only be allowed in the spaces allotted for horses on the day before the Show. . . It was decided that the prize cards should be the same as last year, the stewards in each class to take charge of the cards, and each one to be filled in and signed by the steward in inkbefore being placed on the exhibit. It was decided that all horses should be tied up, and the horse ground fenced off. It was decided that tea, &.C., should be supplied to the members' wives in the enclosure, and that fact to be intimated at the sale of the privileges. It was decided that entries should be allowed to leave the ground at 2.30 p.m., or else remain within the enclosure. All horses to remain in the horse enclosure unless required by the stewards in charge of the different classes, and any horse, without any attendant to be tied up. Horses exhibited in the harness classes to be placed in the part allotted to them, and all classes are to be under the direction of the stewards in charge.
