Messrs Gorton and Son report : We held a most spirited stock sale at Feildrog last Friday; Rood entries came for* ward of both cattle and sheep. We sold all the sheep excepting one peu of prime fat shorn ewes, which did not reach the rendor's reserve of 10s. We sold nearly all the cattle, the reseryes of some steer* being higher than ruling rates we had to turn them out unsold. Our quotations are— Cattle.— Fat cows, L 5 5s ; springing heifers, L 3 19s ; cows, in calf, L4ss ; emptj cows, L 3 10s; cows and calves, lAtoH7s; milkers, L 5; 2£-year beifers L 3 10s ; weaner9, 25s to 28s ; weaners to 18 -months, L 2 4s. Shbep. — Forward wethers, 13s 4d ; ■tore wethers, 12s; store wethers and ewes, 103 6d ; fat ewes. 10s 9d ; hoggets, several ©ens, various prices, from 8s 7d to lls 6d ; ewes, with lambs, 11s. Messrs Abraham and Williams report on Saturday's horse sale as follows : — A more numerous and useful class of stock came forward. Bidding was fairly brisk and most of the horses sold.
