Meeting of Creditors
A meeting of creditors in the estate of H. S. Munro, of Fowlers, a bankrupt, was held in the Court Houee, Feilding, yesterday afternoon. MiJO. J. Scott, Deputy Official Assignee, was in the chair. The creditors represented or present were : — Mr Wm Carthew. Stewart and Co (repre. aented by Mr Smart), M. Hogan and Co (represented by Mr Wizey), E. Palmer, W. Morton, Kirton and Curtis, Pawelaki. Mr L. E. Beade, solicitor for debtor, was a!*o present. The debtor attributed his failure to Ret certain money for land sold and to collect outstanding book debts ; also, to pressure of a creditor. Proposed by Mr Wizey, seconded by Mr E. Palmer, That the debtor's offer to pay 15s In the £ by acceptances at three and six months, with interest at 7 per , cent, be accepted, provided that the same . be guaranteed by some reputable person, . or persons, to the satisfaction of the Deputy Official Assignee. This, offer to remain open for fourteen days, and if the . debtor is unable to find the necessary .. Kecunty the Official Assignee be re* i quested to release the estate without delay.— Carried. The debtor was employed by the D.O.A. to look after the business at Fowlers, and to collect book debts. This was all the business and the meeting adjourned for a fortnight.
