Pohangina Notes

*. [fbom oub own cobbksxondxktJ. The Onslow Small Farm Association Block will not be ready for this season's bushfelting, for the reason that the survey of the Marton Small Farm Associations Blocks No. 1 and 2 had to be finished first. All the roads from the Onslow will have their outlet towards Femberton, and consequently will be connected with the Marton Block roads. That portion of the Onslow adjoining the Marton is reported by some who have seen it to be very pood, only an imaginary line divides them while the portion nearer the ranges is said to be very rough. The Commissioner of Lands advised the Secretary of the Association to call a general meeting of the members in about two. months time, when same reliable report could be laid before them. | The four forfeited sections of the Salisbury Block will be offered for public sal* about the end of October. They are all of 200 acres, and are described as being of good average quality, situated in Block VIII on the Apiti Norswood Road. The Commissioner has instructed the surveyors to make an alteration at the junction of the Umutoi and Table Flat roads in the Pohangina Small Farm Association Block. The two roads gradually neared one another for a distance of about half a mile. This is to be altered by making a straight cut through one of the sections, thus saving about forty chains of road, and consequently of road making. The plans of the Pohangfaa Block will be sent out by the Com. missioner, to reach the settlers, on or before Ist January, 1894. The price of their sections will also be notified at the same time. Each section will have the owner's name written on the map. Bent date of application, and time allowed for improvements, will all date from January Ist, 1894. But any one is at liberty to commence work on his section at once The Umutoi Block Bottlers will «Jbo have their plans issued to them on January Ist, 1894. The same time will apply to them as to the Pohangina, as to rent, occupation, and improvement Messrs Hay ward, of WoodViUe, who h» v ; 600 acres in the Block, will commenca work at once. «*"*»
