Amongst the votes are the following :— Additional sum for expenses of genera election, £ 7000 ; grant to the widow and the daughter of the late Hon. J Ballance, £3000; additional vote for agricultural statistics, ±"500 ; expenses of public funeral to the late Premier, £"310 ; bonus to aid flax industry, £2000 ; payment of honorarium to twelve members of the Legislative Council from the date of their appointment, £850. Native Land Conrt Salaries — Assistant Chief Judge, £600; one Judge, £500; validation of native titles, Judges and Assistant Chief Judge, 1750 ; expenses of the Ell Commission, £320 ; vote in full settlement of the claims of G. W Ell, £200; vote in full settlement of Knhi Peehi's claim in respect of MauawatuKukutauaki block, £250. Grant to the Wellington Hospital Trustees (pound for pound subsidy), £3000; grant for female refuge work, £1500; grant to the Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (pound for pound subsidy), £259; conference of public school inspectors, £125. Roads, bridges, &c, Wellingtou district —Bridge over the Makuri river near township, L 300; Kaiwhata Valley (ad> ditional), L3OO ; Ihurana Valley road, L 30 0; Wanganui River Trust, L2OO. Additional vote for telegraph extension, L 5662.
