Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report:—At We verier we had a loir muster of cattle, mostly young stock, and succeeded in quitting the whole entry at late rates. At St. Hill-street we had good entries of cattle, and sheep were in moderate numbers.- Beef and young cattle found ready purchasers, but the bidding for grown steers and heifers was slack, owing no doubt to feed having greatly suffered by the late southerly gales. We quote — Cattle-At Waverley—Heifers in calf. £3 16s; 3 ve&r steers, £4 19s 6d; 18 months to 2 year steers, £8 13s 6d to £3 15s; yearlings, £2 7s 6d, At St. EUI street—Fat bullocks, £6 lls to £8 4s; fat cows, Lss 2s; bullocks, L5 18s; store cows, L8 10s to L8 16s; heifers in calf, L3lls; weaners, 25s to 355; yearlings. L2lls. * Sheep—Fat ewes and wethers, Ids 5d to 15s 6d; wether hoggets, 10s 8d to 11s 6d; mixed hoggets, lls sd. Pigs—Baconers, small, 46s to 2i»e 6d; porkers, 10s 3d to 245; small pigs, 7« 3d to 10s 3d. The New Zealand Land Association (Ltd.) report as follows with reference totheir sale of Ayrshire cattle yesterday on account of Mr Ferguson, of Dunedin.
