[FROM OC& OWN CORRESPONDENT.] A young lad, named Roger Wait, who is in the employ of Mr It. Hammond, had the misfortune, on Monday last, while > out mustering sheep, to be thrown violently to the ground off his horse. \ The lad fell on a manuka stnmp, which made a nasty gash on his arm. The wound was dressed, and the sufferer is now progressing favorably. The members of the Campbelltown Lawn Tennis Club held a special meeting in the schoolhouse on Monday evening last, when twenty. live were present. Other routine business i was gone through, and the Club intends opening on the 14th, with afternoon tea, provided by the ladies, to be followed by a social in the evening, with a supper provided by the gentlemen. Some of the farmers intend to start shearing next week, and good results are anticipated with the clip. Much of the ironwork was bent and made almost useless. I Another wedding took place here last week. The couple went to Wellington after the ceremony to spend their honey, moon. They returned on Tuesday evening, when there was a splendid amateur band awaiting to give them a cordial reception. The instruments were kerosene tins, whistles, accordeons, etc. After a tune or two had been played, the musicians were treated to the usual refreshments on such nn occasion, and went home highly pleased.
