The Feilding Star. Published Daily. WEDNESDAY, OCT. 4, 1893. THE COMING ELECTIONS.

As the election campaign may be considered to hare commenced we would urge on those who are duly qualified to be placed on the electoral rolls for their several districts, but have not yet done so, to register without delay. In this particular district where portions of the Kangitikei, Falmerston, and Otaki electorates are contiguous, it will be well for those electors who have not made themselves acquainted with the altered boundaries to do so promptly. We are aware of residents who were voters in the Rangitikei electorate at the last elections, who are now absorbed in the Pa liners ton or Otaki electorates, but whether they have taken the trouble to see that their names have been placed on the new rolls, we, of course, have no means of ascertaining. That they should obtain this information at once goes without saying. It will be seen by a notice given to-day by the Registrar of Electors, at Marton, that the electoral rolls of the electoral districts can be seen at the various Post Offices, also that forms of enrolment may be obtained from all Postmaaters. To-morrow the Registrar of Electors will proceed to compile and print the names enrolled up to that date. Names received subsequently will be included in a supplementary roll. Any letters or enclosures addressed to Registrars of Electors may be sent by post free of charge. We are aware that canvassers are now visiting people and obtaining signatures to forms of enrolment, but there must necessarily be cases overlooked, and we would urge upon all qualified persons who have not been waited on to act for themselves. The present opportunity of placing themselves in a position to share in tho excitements and triumphs of the coming contest should under no circumstances be neglected.
