Messrs Freeman 11. Jackson and Co report as follows : — A good muster of cattle were yarded at Waverley, but we sold only a part ; the rest were turned out. The very wet day militated against lhe sale. The bidding at the yards today was slack for cattle, but very brisk for sheep. We sold ont all the sheep, but the bulk of tbe cattle were unsold. Pigs were in usual numbers and sold well. We quote:— Cattle. — At Waverley— Steerß, L 3 18s to L 4 J6s 6d ; forward steers, L 5 7s 6d ; heifers, L 3 10s 6d to L 3 15s 6d ; milch cows, L 4 10s to L 5 2s. At Wanganui— Cows, L 4 2s Cd ; weaners, 30s ; old cows, L 2 10s ; milch cows, dull of sale, up to L 7 2s 6d. Sheep.— At St Hill street— Fat wethers, 16s 3d ; store wethers, 13s 4d to 14s ; hoggets, 10s lid. Pigs.— Large porkers, 28s 6d to 38s 6d ; smaller ones, 18s 6d to 2Js 6d ; small pigs, 4s 6d to 9s 6d. Poultry. — Ducks, ss ; fowls, 3s to 5s the couple.
