Tlie iJnited Farmers' Alliance, Ltd., report as follow*. : — Wool.— Oar London agculs, Messrs Weddel and Co., writn as under, dated August I lth: — The third series of CoN onial Wool Auctions was brought to a. close on the 21st ult. Ouo of tho leading features of the series was the very large total of cross-bred wool* catalogued, some 120,800 bales, chiefly New Zealand. The finest grades, as compared with April values, lost ground by a penuv per j lb. Good, bright half-breds and threequarter«breds were most in request, and for those descriptions the declino was covered by }d, while rough, poorly»grown and dingy parcel sold on the average <d per lb lower. The New Zealand clip, as a whole, is this year in better condition than ln*t, many of the North Tslund wools bping vory light, in grease and well grown. Sinre thf» rlosf of the auctions there has not been any enquiry in this market. Wheat. — Whole fowl wheat, S]s to Us 3d ; broken, 2s 9d to y.s. Oats.— Tho market remains (Inn, al though the wet weather has stopped sowing. We quote : Seed— Sparrnwbills and Tartars, 2s |)d to S?s lOd : food, 3s f d to 2s Od. Potatoes. — Prime Derwents, Li 5s to LI 10s. sacks extra. Chaff. — Prime oaten sheaf, L-l, sack 6 extra.
