Three Railway Stations Robbed
(PFB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Chiustchubch, September 11. Between about 10 p.m. yesterday an< 7 this morning the railway stations a Heathcote, Woolston, and Opawa wen broken into. At Heathcote a sum o Ll7 14s 10a in cash was taken, and i quantity of stamps. Of the money L! belonged to the stitiontuaster. Ihe safi was a light fireproof one, and tin burglars succeeded in ripping off the to] plate with the jemmy and a crowbar, am then burst open the door. The door a Woolston station was forced and lh< ticket drawer opened, but only a boj of Rough on Rats belonging to tht gtationmaster was missed. The saf< was not touched. At Opawa the door ol the station was apparently opened with o key. The ticket drawers nnd cupboard were opened, but nothing was taken A fruitless attempt was made with a chisel to open the safe, nnd the point of tht chisel was broken off. The safes n1 Woolston and Opawa were small but strong. The burglars left no clue.
