A Protest Against the Electoral Bill

I (per pbkss association.) Wellington, September 9. The following protest is being signed by the members of the Legislative Council who voted against the third reading of the Electoral Bill, for the purpose of being forwarded to the Governor :— "We, the undersigned members of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, proteat against the vote of the Council in fayor of the third reading of tho Electoral Bill, which provides for giving the fran« chise to women, on the ground that this political and social revolution has been carried on the eve of a general election, though a principle of such an important change in the constitution has not been submitted to the electors for their decision on the subject.
