The Public Trust Office, constituted by "The l'ublic Trust Ollice Act, 1872," has been since much enlarged in its functions by amending Acts, to meet growing requirements. The Amendment Act of 1891 facilitates administration, authorises prompt distribution, provides absolute security against loss to estates from investments at the discretion of tho Public Trustee, and insures the regular payment of tho interest. The Security and Fidelity of the Pub. lie Trustee's administration must be considered of the utmost importance to every person contemplating the appointment of «, trustee. In private trusteeships, death and absenco render necessary numerous and expensive deeds not required by Public Trustee's administration, which has, bosides, tbe office solicitor's advice without expense to the " estates.
