In the Court judgment was given for the defendant in the case Commissioner of Taxes v the Gear Meat Company claiming £67 as a tax due upon interest. The Company has a mortgage on ita business premises in respect of which its pays £1320 intorost which they deducted in thoir returns sent to the Tax Commissioner. The latter claimed the tax on the interest but Judge Richmond decided otherwise. ____^__^_____
