AN EXPLANATION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THK STAR. Sir, — With your permission, I wish to state that Mr Shearer met Mr Anderson, as the latter desired, and, on hearing Mr Shearer's explanation, Mr Anderson was quite satisfied with it, and wishes to exonerate Mr Shearer from any charges of untruthfulness, &c, as it all arose from a misunderstanding which has been satisfactorily explained. I am, etc., J. Burrows, Lodge Deputy. Feilding, September sth, 1893.
