Acceptances and general entries in connection with the approaching meeting of the Rangitikei Hunt Club close with the Secretary at Marton to-morrow. A committee meeting of the Manawatu Racing Club was held at the Commercial Hotel, Pahuerston, yesterday evening. It was resolved to have a two days meeting on the 26th and 27th of December next, the following being the programme : — First Day — Telegraph Handicap, £50, 7 furlongs ; Ist Handicap Hurdles, £50, 2 miles; Ist Hack Hurdles, £25, I] miles ; Falmorston Cup, £200, 1.1 miles ; Ist Hack Handicap, £25, If miles; Grand Stand Handicap, £40, 1 mile; Ladies' Bracelet, £25, 1 V miles. Second Day — Summer Handicap, £50, 6 furlongs ; 2nd Handicap Hurdles, £45, I={ miles ; 2nd Hack Hurdles, £25, 11 miles; Flying Hack Handicap, £25, 6 furlongs ; President's Handicap, £100, 1} miles ; Christmas Hack Handicap, £25, 1 mile ; Farewell Handicap, £.'SO, 7 furlongs — making a total af £(stts added money for tho two days. (PEH PHE3S ASSOCIATION.) London, August 31. At the Derby meeting to«day, in the Champion Breeders' Foal Stakes, Springray and Fury ran a dead heat, with Babylonia a good third. Messrs Holdsworth and Peacock agreed to divido the stakes. Sydney, August 31. Melinite is first favourite for the Epsom, at 7 to 1.
