A day or two ago a man named Gallichau was before tho Court, accused of steaiinga wedding ring from Hosie and 8011, jewellers, whero he had offered a ring for purchase. After his leaving Hosie and Bell's they missed a similar one. The R.M. dismissed the case. This morning Hosie informed the R.M. ho had found the ring offered by Gallichan in a drawer into which it had rolled. It was supposed the latter had picked up another ring, which was almost identical, in mistake for this one, but it was evident an innocent uiiiii had a narrow escape of passing some days in gaol.
