William Walker, at present undergoing a sentence of three years for burg~ lary, pleaded guilty to another charge and was sentenced to three years, to run with the other sentence, which means an extra three months. lahi, a native, pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary, and was remanded. At the Supreme Court the Crown Prosecutor entered a nolle prvsujui against Captain Baldwin, who stood committed for arson on the Coroner's warrant. It was explained that the 11. M. had dismissed the case, and there was no fresh evidence Captain Baldwin, however demanded a jury, and ono was accordingly empanelled, and formerly acquitted him of the charge. Dunkdin, August '28. The Grand Jury found true bills ia all cases. An indictment for criminal libel against Maxwell, ex-attendant atSeacliff, was fixed for Wednesday afternoon. It is likely to occupy three days. James Main, for indecent assault at Koxburg. pleaded fcuilty, and was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
