(PKB PKKSS ASSOCIATION.) ! London, August 23. The Australian M.l'.S. Party has been renamed the Colonial Party and now embraces all self-government colonies. The Standard welcomes the formation of the Party, whose members it considers are among the best elements in the House. Sir C. Dilke, speaking at a meeting, said Parliament did not wish to interfere with the Agent-General, but would assist in cable and postal reforms, and deal with the recidiviate question and the appointment of colonial Governors. Sir Henry James' amendment, making it compulsory for the Irish Legislature to meet once a year, was accepted. During the debate the Speaker ordered the Ser-geantat-Arms to eject occupants of the Distinguished Strangers' Gallery for applauding. August 24. An amendment to the Home Rule Bill giving the Imperial Parliament power to summon and dissolve the Irish Legislature was rescinded by a majority of 44. The division on the second readiug of the Home Uulo Bill will be taken in the House of Lords on September 14th.
