Pemberton Notes.
[fKOM OUB OWN COBBBBPONDENT.] With the one exception of Sunday the 20th instant, we have had rain every clay this mouth, and at present there is a heavy flood in the Kiwitea which will probably make itself felt in the low country around Feilding. Work is almost at a standstill, bush felling and gardening being seriously retarded. Needless to say that the roads are well nigh impassable. A mooting of the separation cominillpc was hold on Saturday 19th instant, nnd the boundary finally decided on. Several settlers applied to bo included in the new district. It was decided to continue the line along the back boundary of sections 21, 23, 25, etc. — in the Sandon Small Farm Block — to the Mangaumko stream, thence along stream to river, then follow river northerly around the boundary of Kiwitea Road District to starting point on the Oroua. A subcommittee was appointed to draw up petition and arrange for siguatur.es of
same, and by the time the new County Bill passes the Upper Mouse — which is considered pretty certain — and the new Council is elected, the petition will be ready to lay before the Council.
