Bad weather set in again la«t night from tho south, and iv consequence of the heavy rains, the Orou> and Kiwitea rivers, and the Makino and other streams are in hiijh Hood. Already damage to a considerable extent has been done to the Government railway line. A big slip has occurred near Fordell, aud another smaller ono at Turakina.aud it is very doubtful if any trains will be able to run to or from Wa« nganui to day. The Gorgo line is once again interrupted, and no trains haye in a v aged to get through. The wires aro badly mixed up, so that it is at present quite impossible to Racer* tain the amount of damage done. This morning's train from Huntcrvillo ran through from Marlon to Palmeraton. The north.cast approach to the Warwick street bridge has been considerably undermined by the flood running down tho Makino, and it would be advisable for drivers at night timo to exercise caution in crossing the bridge.
